How they behave in a movie theater and how they treat a waiter. Sound silly? Follow me for a moment. A male waiter once told me that he loves to flirt with female patrons who come in with their significant others. It drives the guy crazy to see his girlfriend being hit on, but he still ends up tipping well as to not look jealous in front of his lady companion.

Picture this, you are on a date in a restaurant. Is your date courteous to the waiter, do they make strange requests or do something to disturb other diners, or talk on their cell phone non-stop? Pay close attention to these things and you will learn a lot about your dining companion.

I must admit it has been a long time since I have been on a date (seeing as I am married and all..) but I still believe the movie and dinner test works.

I love to go to the movies and it is a great date activity. Have you ever gone to the movies with someone who drove you insane? I have not had too many bad movie experiences but one is enough! A bad movie companion is a deal breaker. So consider suggesting dinner and a movie for your next blind/first date so you can get the scoop on your new catch right away.

PS. The worst movie experience I ever had wasn’t actually a date but it involved a completely crazy person sitting next to me during one of the Lord of the Rings movies. 3 hours attached to Ms. Crazy almost drove me crazy!
