I love mild 60 degree days - light jacket, crack the windows, no gloves. They are great! But it scares me when a random 60 degree day pops up in late November. And it only means one thing….this winter is really going to make us pay for those last few unseasonably warm days. Mark my words.
I think the thing that irritates me about the random warm days is the false hope. The snowy season is officially upon us, it could snow any second. And to be tricked into thinking that we might get a few more mild days is just mean. Once it starts to turn cold, just stay cold! All of my sweaters are out, the wind breakers are packed away, I am mentally prepared for the chill so don’t mess with me! It is too confusing to wear a wool coat and hat on Monday and Tuesday be wearing a t-shirt and jean jacket. Messes with my head.
So to this winter I say to you, please have mercy on us and forgot about those warm November days we had by accident. It wasn’t our fault, really.
PS. Global warming is not our friend so you shouldn’t rejoice when it jumps to 70 in upstate NY in Feburary - food for thought.
PPS. Happy December!
