So I know a few people who were born in the month of December and for the most part, people seem to enjoy having their birthday near the holidays. But do you really get extra attention or is your birthday lumped in with the holiday season?

I have always felt bad for the holiday season babies. I mean hello, the birthday of the baby jesus kinda outranks you no matter what. My birthday is during the summer months and I have always enjoyed having my birthday so far from most major holidays. It gives me something to look forward to during the sweltering summer heat. The only down side as a kid was that most kids are in summer camp so it made for tough birthday party planning. But as an adult it is pretty cool.

But what about December babies? What if your birthday falls on the same day as the office holiday party? Boo! What if you were born during the week of Christmas/Hanukah, do people forget about your birthday every year only to remember on New Years?

So is it a gip or do you really get extra special hoopla during the holidays? I think I need some holiday babies to comment on this one.
