Ah yes the week between Christmas and New Years, also known as the week of perpetual 50% off sales. I can smell it in the air! The smell of major savings and continued traffic jams. Nothing like it!

Today I purchased some 50% off Christmas cards for next year. I took my time perusing all of the options before me until I chose 3 boxes. Wanted to make sure I picked something that would still interest me this time next year. I think I made out pretty good. And I didn’t go nutty and buy 15 rolls of wrapping paper I will never use just because it was on sale. Pretty proud of that as it is a hard thing to do. There is something about that big 50% off sign. It makes you want to buy things you don’t need and probably will never use. Roles of wrapping paper stacked in boxes calling your name….you liked me when I was $20 a roll, now I am only $10! Come get me!

Ok so I would have really liked to buy just one extra roll, and I still might, but I didn’t today!

50% off signs be damed, I have the one thing that is better…..Christmas gift cards! Watch out malls, here I come.
