Here it is, the last weekend of 2006. I don’t know about you, but this year seemed faster than most. I think it is because I got married in Fall 05 and as any married woman knows, being engaged feels like time was put on super slow motion and then that first year-ish of marriage just flies by! Funny how life seems to be on hold when everyday revolves around making sure the florist can get the right shade of red for your roses, or that the baker can create they exact white chocolate flavor you dreamed of, or that aunt so and so can sit with another so and so without fighting. Ah, being married is nice.

So I am not big on resolutions. I don’t drink, eat fast food, smoke or do anything else that I feel is bad for me and needs to stop. So why make a resolution? I would rather make a wish list for the year than a list of things I think should stop. How about a list of things that should start? As far as starting new things, I would like to start being less of a worry wort. I am part polish so I really think it is in my DNA but I am going to give it a whirl. I would like to start paying a mortgage and stop paying rent. I will continue working on this site because it brings me a real sense of joy, and I will continue reading the blogs I have discovered over the past year which bring me much laughter. I am going to spend this New Years thinking of some other positive things to start. Sometimes it is actually harder to devote yourself to starting something great, rather than just stopping something you know is bad. So this year I will do my best to start some wonderful things and hopefully you will hear about them this time next year.
