Dream dictionary

Have you ever used one of those dream dictionaries? I have checked them out but I can’t say I really believe them fully. I mean, what are the odds that every single person on the planet has the same reason for dreaming about flying or a snake on the ground? Not too likely, right?

I did see an interesting episode of Oprah many years ago about remembering and breaking down dreams. It basically stated that each dream has a very specific meaning that can be understood by you if you break it down enough. Each dream pertains to something going on in your life or something you are worried about/happy about/wishing for, etc. You need to take it apart piece by piece, how did each thing make you feel? What did it remind you of? What did it provoke in you, etc? It has been a pretty useful tool to me since I have many vivid dreams pretty much every single night. I am pretty good at remembering them too. I dream in color and black and white. Some of my dreams are in daylight, some at night. Some completely indoors and some always outside. Sometimes I can fly or do something extraordinary, and sometimes I cannot do things I know I can do during my waking hours. Sometimes I can visit people that have long passed and sometimes I am searching for something I can never find. I enjoy all my dreams because I do believe their are messages scattered throughout. Maybe it is just reminding me of something I want to say or do, maybe they are warning me of something that will happen or could happen if I don’t make changes. Whatever the message, I am open to hearing them all and hope to continue receiving them night after night.
