So before I had call waiting I thought it was rude and unnecessary. Why would you want to have anyone interupt your phone conversations? Well I have seen the error of my ways and call waiting has been a godsend.

I work primarily out of my home office and without call waiting I would have missed many an important phone call. Combine call waiting with caller I.D., and well you never have to answer a telemarketer again. Remember the days of no call waiting, and no cordless or cell phones? How did we survive!?

As much as I cherish my cell phone I am not one of those people who has it strapped to their hip at all times and answers it in the middle of a restaurant. I miss calls sometimes, oh well.

When I was a kid my parents thought call waiting was evil. They used to get furious when I would be on the phone with one of my friends and my friend would put me on hold, chat with someone else for 3 minutes and then come back. They always used to say, just hang up! Now I get a big kick out of it when I call my parents and they put me on hold to answer call waiting.
