Maybe someone can explain this to me. Why do people try to return something to one store that they know they got at a completely different store?! What kind of dishonest shizz is this?!
This happened to me as a teenager when I worked as a cashier at KB Toys. Someone brought in something from Toys R US. “Maam, this is from Toys R Us you cannot return it here.” Cue the phony denial, the angry threats, etc, etc. In the end I told her to keep on moseying and did not accept it as a return.
Just the other day, I am waiting in line at JC Penney and someone pulls the not so fast one of trying to return something random. It was an older lady, returning a random bra that obviously did not belong to her, nor was it purchased at JC Penney. No tag, no receipt, not even the bag it came in. The manager was trying to be nice and told the cashier that if she could indeed find what she thought was the exact bra on the shelf then she would allow the customer to exchange but not return it. And if she could not find its duplicate than tough, no return.
I guess I made for a shrewed cashier because I was in inch away from telling the lady that the jig was up and she was holding up the line so could she please sell her dishonesty someplace else?!
