Invincible
Not sure why they called the movie that but it was dang good anyway! The title doesn’t really make much sense but the story makes up for it so I will cut Disney some slack on this one. Yes, it was a Walt Disney movie staring Mark Wahlberg as a average Joe football player. I know it might sound like a weird marriage, Disney and Mark Wahlberg, but it works, trust me.
If you like sports movies, and by sports movies I mean Rudy, then you will like Invincible. It has the heart of any good sports movie, and it is based on a true story which is also key. There are a few scenes where they let you imagine the worst for a second, he is going to get hurt, or cut from the team or whatever. But of course in the end it is a classic feel good, jump up and cheer, don’t you love being an American kind of movie.
Perfect renter for a snowy Sunday night. And Mark Wahlberg is not bad to look at so even if you don’t like sports movies, hey it is worth a look-see!
