Woot, it’s Valentine’s day. In honor of this special (hallmark) holiday I thought I would share some of my Valentine’s memories. I need to preface this by saying A) While I really enjoy picking out a nice card for my husband and going out to dinner I am not the type to demand 3 dozen roses just because it is Valentine’s. B) Every Valentine’s day since I met my husband has been awsome, some super mellow at home, some out at a nice restaurant, etc.
Some of my favorite Valentine’s memories:
In college, maybe my Junior year? I got dumped about a week before V-day and sat in my dorm with one of my suitemates commiserating about how much guys suck and eating the box of candy I had purchased for said Ex. It was a crappy Valentine’s day for sure, but looking back I think, everyone who isn’t your husband is your Ex so whatevs!
My senior year of high school one of my girlfriends had a single gals party. Nothing outregeous, just put on some nice duds, hung out at her house listening to music and goofing around and ordering some yummy chinese food. Was a fabulous Valentine’s and no men were involved!
Whatever you do this Valentine’s day, whether you have a sweetheart or are looking for one, enjoy! Here are a few different ways to say I love you..at least I hope this stuff says I love you. I don’t speak Persian so if that actually says bite me, my apologies.
Persian - Doo-set daaram
Pig Latin - Iay ovlay ouyay
Polish - Kocham Cie
Portuguese - Eu te amo
