There are many modern day conveniences I can’t or rather don’t want to live without. For example, a few years ago I discovered the beauty of disposable tupperware. It does go against my natural instinct to recycle and reuse but I have found a compromise. I do not discard them after only one use but rather use them several times, as long as they remain cleanable and useable. Plus, I happen to have a husband with a propensity for tossing perfectly good tupperware and other household items in the trash by accident. So the disposable tupperware works perfectly because if it accidentally gets thrown out, lost or damaged it’s no big deal.

Also in love with disenfectant whipes and these awesome oven mitts (one of which I got as part of a wedding gift) that can withstand some ridiculous temperature so you can wrangle hot pans easier. No more running across the kitchen with a threadbare old oven mitt screaming out of my way. These babies are hardcore!

And while I resisted the allure of Febreeze for years, I must admit it is a handy little solution. Especially for things like welcome mats and furiture, that cannot be washed as easily as clothes.

Don’t even get me started on my laptop and cell phone. I never thought I would be one of those people who loves all sorts of gadgets but I am.

Someday when a robot is teaching my children math and I am enjoying a virtual hot air balloon ride from my den maybe I’ll think hmm…how did we get here?!
