Well winter is still here…and so is the snow. Hopefully this is the last hurrah as far as Susie Snowflake is concerned! Considering the first official day of spring is only a few days away, I think the cold weather is *almost* finally on its way out.
The weather on St. Patrick’s day always provides a good example of what kind of winter is has been. Some years it is snowing, like this year, and some years you can have a BBQ in the backyard and crank up the AC. So apparently this winter has been a doozy since it is still snowing on St. Patty’s.
So to all the NYers who are buried in snow, enjoy your last chance to go snow tubing, skiiing with real snow, sledding and anything else you like to do in the snow. Happy St. Patrick’s day to all the Irish and the non-Irish who like to use this day as an excuse to get lit on green beer.
An Old Irish Blessing
May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
and rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

I sure hope you’re right about winter being on it’s way out! Seems to have hung on much longer than usual…at least around our place.
I love that Irish Blessing!
