How can you tell when you pet is in a bad mood? Well last night seems pretty indicative of my cat being in a bad mood. For example, last night she decided that her human (me) no longer needed any sleep and would spend the night awake with her. She pulled out everything in her arsenal to keep me from sleeping and for the most part it worked. I have to say I am a softie and besides yelling at her a bit I really don’t do anything, like lock her in another room, etc. You see, the non-stop crying would break my heart. Apparently she knows this so she can get away with such naughty behavior. Not that she normally behaves this way. She usually leaves me be unless she runs out of food or jumps up to say hi for a minute.

Last night I believe she was posessed by something. Some need to mess with me and keep me awake for no good reason. The best part is, the second I finally got up and stopped trying in vain to get even just a tiny bit of sleep, she goes to sleep. Lovely!

Part of me was concerned because I see those stories on the news where an animal saves their owner from a fire/carbon monoxide poisoning/etc. But concern quickly went to rage and utter exhaustion. I think I should start waking her up from her naps today. That would show her! But really, her entire day is one big nap so I don’t know how much good that will do.
