Spring is usually not the best time of year to go to the movies. After the Christmas season movies come out there is always a noticable lag in good films until the summer blockbusters come out. When I saw the previews for Hot Fuzz a few months ago, I thought, Ah there is hope! And I was right. Rarely do you hear the audience clap at the end of a film. After a recent viewing of Hot Fuzz the audience, mixed with people of all ages, actually clapped!

Being a huge fan of Shaun of the Dead I was pretty sure I would enjoy this movie. It was silly, it was witty, it was just plain awesome. You can read a review of the film on Slate.

If you haven’t seen Shaun of the Dead, rent it and then go see Hot Fuzz. However, if you hate British comedy or have no sense of humor, well disregard this and go see a Lindsay Lohan movie.
