Out of the funk

What do you do when you are in a bad mood? Do you eat, shop, sleep, scream - what do you do?

I am actually not so sure what I do. I think maybe I just watch tv, possibly snack. But I don’t shop or sleep. I know that there are chemical reactions that go into being in a bad mood, but whatever the cause it just plain stinks!

I get mad at being mad. So I guess that is what I do when I am in a bad mood…get mad at my mood! Who better to take it out on then the mood that caused it right?

Ok so…how do you get out of a bad mood? Do you try to do something fun? Just go about your business and ignore the mood? I wish I had the quick easy answer. I play with my cat or watch some horrible soap opera to distract myself I guess. Candy is not a bad remedy also, but the crash afterwards may not be worth it.

    Sorry to hear that you’re in a blue mood. I just got out of one myself. I usually just recognize it as something flowing through me, so I try not to resist and just ride it out like a wave. Resisting only makes it worse.

    I’m sending you a truckload of hugs to tide you over until then. :)

    I go for a walk with my dog, or I garden. Sorry, I’m not very imaginative in that department either…
