Have you met your fun deadlines today?
No I don’t mean your work deadlines, the big project looming over your head or your tax deadline, I am referring to your fun deadlines. What is a fun deadline you ask? Well since I just recently thought of the term, let me try to explain.
A fun deadline is similar to a work deadline except for the fact that there is no work involved. A fun deadline is a countdown to when you must achieve something fun. For example, “By next Friday I need to ride a waterslide!”, is a fun deadline.
I have realized that in the midst of all of my work deadlines I usually forget to set some fun deadlines. So I must remedy that right now.
Fun deadlines for this summer:
1- Go camping (this is kind of cheating since I already have a weekend booked).
2- Try horse back riding again - at a less conveyor belt style establishment.
3- Spend a lot more time at my favorite park (more of an ongoing deadline really–achieved in increments).
4- Eat ice cream outdoors.
5- See more movies.
