Searching for a healthy dinner?

I recently came across this site, the healthy dining finder. You enter your location and it shows you the restaurants in your area. It also allows you to view nutritional information about the selections you make. It will bring up everything from Hooters to Macaroni Grill and beyond. Warning: This site may ruin some of your favorite eateries for life. Have you ever looked up the fat/calorie information for Pizza Hut? Chances are you haven’t because if you did you probably would never eat there again!

That almost happened to me when I found out the nutritional information for some of my favorite dishes at Macaroni Grill. * apparently Ceasar dressing has as many calories as a whole friggin meal!* Most of the nutritional information on this site is for the lower calorie meals anyway, but if you are on a diet this is a great resource. I know a few people who are currently participating in Weight Watchers and it can be difficult to enjoy a meal at a restaurant when you are on a diet. At least with a resource like this you know what you are getting into!

I have so run out of meal ideas. This will help me feel less guilty schlepping everyone to the nearest “healthy” restaurant. Great tip!

Oh yes, some days I run low on meal ideas as well. :)

I don’t think I’d ever look up the restaurants that I eat at, lol! What fun would it be to go out and eat?

  4. Sarah Says:

hehe in some cases it may be better not to know!
