I own a home!
Now that it is official I feel I can say it without jinxing myself…I own a home! We closed a few days ago and have been spending most of our time furiously cleaning and spackling (is spackling a word?). Although it feels very surreal, it was a big relief to finally sign the papers and receive the keys. It is ours!
We have a lot of work ahead of us but so far so good. I am thinking of buying stock in Home Depot, it is my new favorite store!
This whole home improvement thing is pretty exhausting. I have sore muscles in places I didn’t know I could have sore muscles. I need a 5 foot long heating pad to wrap myself in.
Sore muscles and all, it feels great to be a homeowner!

Thank you! hehe I don’t know, that Home Depot is pretty rockin. I always wanted to be one of those people that went in there and was like, Hi - I need a 10 inch wrench because the 6 inch I have just isn’t cutting it, ya know?

When we first bought a home it blew my mind to think that we owned the earth under it for…who knows how deep. Maybe down to the center.
Except for mineral rights.
