A few more things owning a home has taught me…
- People who use duck tape to hold up their posters are sadists. Seriously, it rips the entire wall off with it.
- 2 inch painters tape is essential. You might think the 1 inch will cover it but no matter how steady your hand is you will have a moment where the roller takes off like a bat out of hell, and when this happens you better hope you have a 2 inch buffer.
- Do not take trash day for granted. When you are used to living in apartments with various dumpsters at your disposal 24/7, it is difficult to get used to hoarding trash for an entire week. Do not forget trash day!
- Small children love to play in the middle of the road. This I already knew, but wow, they really love to play smack in the middle of the road.
- The people who work at Home Depot and Lowe’s actually do know everything, they do, it is a scientific fact. Go ahead, test them.
