The joy of new appliances

We had our new appliances delivered this weekend; a stove, a washer and a dryer. Ahhh the sweet smell of new appliances! No one’s laundry has touched these prinstine cleaning machines. The thought of being able to wash my clothes in a washer that is not shared by miscellaneous college kids and other neighbors, well it is almost too good for me to handle. No more waiting several hours for some dumb dumb to take their sopping wet clothes out of the washer. No more looking into the washer and thinking, “What the heck is that?!” Nope, all mine!

Our apartment appliances are your typical bottom of the barrel appliances. The stove never heated things evenly, the fridge always seemed to either freeze things or not get cold enough. I guess when you have to buy 500 stoves for an apt complex you aren’t going to buy the $1,500 stainless steel ones. Oh well, goodbye 15 year old appliances! Hello, new stuff!

 Aren’t they beautiful?

You are so smart to buy appliances. So many people buy a house with the appliances and the cost is added in. They end up paying for them for the 20-30 years of the mortgage when they never last that long.

    Happy Thanksgiving

    Hi Jan,
Hope you had a great holiday!
I have to say I am very excited to cook in a stove that no one else has ever cooked in and use a washer no one else’s clothes have ever been in either! :-)
