My cat, Nala, is not fond of many things. She dislikes most people she meets, will only eat one type of dry food and hates being picked up by people. Dealing with her hairball issues have always been a challenge. The main remedies are jelly like substances you are supposed to put on the cat’s paws so they will lick off, that and persistent brushing of the cat’s fur. Two things the cat also hates, anything touching her paw and being brushed (unless she is in a particularly good mood, then she purrs while you brush her).

I finally found something that works….Petromalt. It is a fish flavored hairball remedy, sounds tasty doesn’t it?

The cat doesn’t just like it, she loves it. I have to keep the box hidden in a closet because otherwise I think she would eat the entire thing. Not only will she eat it, she will eat it off of my hand. If you knew this cat you would understand how momumental that is. If you were the last person on earth with the last can of tuna, she wouldn’t eat out of your hand.

I have no clue what makes Petromalt so appealing, I assume it is the flavor/scent. Whatever it is, it works like a charm. Take it from the cat who hates everything, this stuff rocks!
