Remember when Andre, Becky, Eric, Julie, Heather, Norman, and Kevin moved into that awesome loft in NYC so many moons ago? Who knew that The Real World would turn into such a phenomenon and spawn 20 seasons worth of hook ups, break ups and fights?! Not me! Although I was hooked from the very first second of that first episode I had no clue what The Real World would turn into. I enjoyed the first few seasons, but after a while the casting department took a turn in a different direction. Instead of casting vastly different people of all ages, they began casting more and more drunk, spoiled college kids and the show got pretty boring. I don’t plan on watching the 20th season but perhaps I will check out an episode or two in case MTV decided to go back to the old formula where they focused on casting interesting and diverse groups of people. I miss watching people go to their real jobs and deal with their lives both inside of the Real World house and out. Take away the hot tub and take another look at season 1 MTV!
