Hello sun, my old friend

Obviously I am jinxing myself by talking about this but the sun is out! The rain seems to have taken a day off and hopefully it will feel like embarking on a long vacation (although according to weather.com it will be back shortly).

I can hear my bike calling me from the garage. Please sun, cut us some slack and stick around for another week or so, ok?

In honor of this sunny day (jinxing myself again) here are a few tips for excercising in hot weather, courtesy of msn.com. You can read the full article here:

Drink plenty of fluids even when you’re not thirsty, and take frequent breaks during exercise.
Get your body in good shape before hot weather hits.
Limit outdoor exercise to early in the morning or late in the evening, avoiding the midday hours.
Exercise more slowly and less vigorously for longer periods.
Wear lightweight clothing, and avoid heavy gear.
If someone looks like they’re having a heat injury, seek immediate medical attention.

    I always feel cheated when the rains hang around until May. I mean they had all of April to do it in and now it’s our turn.
