It’s that time of year again, season finale time. When all of our favorite shows come to a temporary end and we are left with summer programming, i.e. reruns and reality TV. I am most excited about the season finale of LOST, which I usually am every year since it has been on, but especially so this year. This season has been particularly awesome and I don’t doubt that the two hour finale will be packed with some amazing questions and answers (hopefully some answers!).
Even though I will miss the few shows I watch regularly, I also enjoy the break that summer brings. You don’t have to worry about rushing home on certain nights to catch your favorite show, because it isn’t on. It also helps that summertime is usually a great time for films, with lots of summer blockbusters coming out and in my area, the drive-in being open as well. Nothing beats watching a movie from the comfort of your own car, no strangers kicking your seat, no cell phones going off, just you and the movie. If you have never been to a drive-in before I highly recommend you find one and check it out. It’s not like you will be stuck home watching new episodes of The Office. Get out there and find a drive-in or an independent movie theater and check out some films this summer. Come fall you can be back home on your couch but enjoy the freedom that the lack of summer programming gives you!

We used to go to the drive-in once in a while, but I think the last one around here closed down a while back. Too bad.

The drive in theatre was the center of our social life during summers when I was in high school.

I wish there was one in my area when I was growing up Jan. I feel like I missed out, but trying to make up for it now
