Yesterday was what you might call a binge day. My husband and I attended a graduation party for a dear friend who just completed his masters degree. The party was at his parents home and I knew from my past experiences as a dinner guest in their home that the food would be out of this world. There were at least 50 people there and all of the food was homemade. There were dozens of entrees: fish, chicken, sausage and peppers, eggplant, pasta dishes, salads, appetizers, homemade sauce, homemade wine, you name it and it was there. It was as expected, incredible.
My friend’s mother, along with some other female family members, spent a solid week cooking and preparing for this party. I have often joked that his mother should start a restaurant as her food is better than any Italian restaurant in the area. Now I am thinking she should also consider catering!
I am so very proud of my friend for working so hard to complete his degree and I am honored to have been a part of such a fun and gluttonous party.
I can’t wait for the next one!
