In case you haven’t heard it yet, Coldplay’s new album Viva La Vida is excellent…better than excellent…hmmm what is better than excellent? Well you get the drift!
Looking for a new cd to buy or a new playlist for your iPod? Check out this album!
Here are the lyrics to my (current) favorite song on the album - Violet Hill:
Was a long and dark December
From the rooftops i remember
There was snow
White snow
Clearly i remember
From the windows they were watching
While we froze down below
When the future’s architectured
By a carnival of idiots on show
You’d better lie low
If you love me
Won’t you let me know?
Was a long and dark December
When the banks became cathedrals
And the fog
Became God
Priests clutched onto bibles
And went out to fit their rifles
And the cross was held aloft
Bury me in honor
When i’m dead and hit the ground
A love back home unfolds
If you love me
Won’t you let me know?
(Guitar Solo)
I don’t want to be a soldier
With the captain of some sinking ship
With snow, far below
So if you love me
Why’d you let me go?
I took my love down to violet hill
There we sat in snow
All that time she was silent still
So if you love me
Won’t you let me know?
If you love me,
Won’t you let me know?

I do like the 2 songs I’ve heard from it, but Coldplay always gets so overplayed that I end up hating all of their songs eventually. I can’t see buying one of their CDs.

Oh I know, when you really like a band you basically have to turn off your radio so you don’t start hating them!

It’s too hot out for Coldplay…could you remind me again in December?
