The Teetotalers version of champagne

Since I do not drink alcohol I have found a few drinks that I enjoy having in place of traditional cocktails. If I find myself at a bar (or wedding or other such occasion) I will either order a cranberry, seltzer and lime or an old fashioned shirley temple…yum. However at home I often buy sparkling cider to enjoy with company. I always drink it out of a wine glass and it never fails to turn the most casual dinner into something more festive.

My favorite sparkling cider is Martinelli’s. While it comes in various flavors my personal fav is the traditional sparkling cider without the added flavors. I buy it at my local Hannaford supermarket - there is a store locator on their website so you can find it in your area. It is inexpensive, usually sold for under $5 and extremely tasty. It is sweet without being bitter and doesn’t try to pretend it is alcohol, it tastes non-alcoholic  - which I especially like.

I have tried other more expensive ciders and always go back to my Martinelli’s. Why mess with a good thing, right?

Martinelli’s kicks ass. I could drink that stuff all day.

Love it too! In fact I just told my husband to pick some up on his way home :)
