I recently spent a day on the set of Ang Lee’s new film - Taking Woodstock, as an extra, or as extras are commonly referred to on a film set - “background.” My “part” was that of a college age hippie (as the movie is set in 1969). The costume they picked out for me was rockin and if I do make the final cut and end up in any scenes I will have no trouble spotting myself thanks to this wacky ensemble! I plan on seeing this movie as soon as it opens and if I do see myself on screen you can be sure I will be posting about it here telling you exactly where you can spot me.

I got the chance to be part of a scene with Liev Schreiber and Demitri Martin and got to stand within 5 feet of Ang Lee for quite a while. Basically, it was the kind of day I will remember for the rest of my life. Getting to be part of something so unique, with people whose work I greatly admire and get paid to do it…well, it doesn’t get much better than that. Check off a major childhood dream off the proverbial bucket list.

After a very long, hot and awesome day on the set I drove home with the goofiest grin on my face and from time to time would ask myself outloud - Did that just happen!?
