I am not sure what happened to September but apparently it is October already. I thought the summer went fast, but so far fall is kicking summer’s butt!
I love October about as much as I love September. In October, much like September, you can watch the leaves change, go apple picking, and eat cider donuts. What October has that September doesn’t is Halloween - the best holiday ever - and my wedding anniversary. So I guess October wins by a small margin.
This is my first Halloween in my new-ish house so I am trying to think of some fun things to do to scare (oh I mean entertain) the neighborhood kids who will come trick or treating. I’m not into giant inflatable pumpkins or smoke machines but perhaps I may invest in some of those scary sounds cds. Hmmm….
What do you do to celebrate Halloween? Do you dress up, create a haunted house, or hide inside with the lights off and refuse to open the door?

We bring the portable fire pit into the front of the house (we live in a cul de sac) and with the neighbors roast hot dogs, etc. When the neighborhood comes trick or treating, they can sit down, get warm, visit and have some hot cider!!!
