I know I shouldn’t be surprised that upstate NY got its first snow yesterday, but well, I guess I am a little surprised. I was holding out hope we could make it to at least mid-November before seeing any snow. I was wrong! Thankfully, in my area it was just wet snow mixed with rain so we didn’t have any accumulation. However in surrounding counties they recieved several inches of the white stuff! Seriously, it is October, right? It isn’t even Halloween yet.
I hope this doesn’t mean we are going to have an even longer and more brutal winter than last year - knocking on wood, fingers crossed, throwing salt over my shoulder, while saying a Hail Mary….
I think it is time to break out the gloves.

We usually have snow, but so far it is in the 70’s. Our time is coming, I’ve got to get the snow tires on quick!

While I don’t want a harsh winter, I would like not to hear about global warming which all indications say is not happening.
