Sleep deprivation
Having a newborn has given me a new perspective on sleep.
I had often heard of prisoners being tortured with sleep deprivation - blasting Nine Inch Nails 24/7 so they were unable to sleep. Sounds pretty bad, right? Well now I understand the magnitude of that kind of punishment. Cruel and unusual!
Other than the lack of sleep we are doing great though. Of course we can’t wait for the day when we wake up at 6 a.m. and realize our baby has been sleeping for the past 5 hours. How lovely that will be!
