Thank God and whoever invented the Moby wrap, it has literally become a lifesaver for me. A couple of weeks ago I wrote about day one with the Moby, right from the start my baby seemed really at ease in it and actually took a real nap!!! Pardon me for a second, but all the new parents out there will understand my elation at getting your newborn down for a real honest to goodness nap…one where you can actually use your hands to do things like eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
My daughter, like a lot of newborns (or so I am told) wants to be held pretty much 24/7. This would not be a problem except for the fact that it is difficult to eat, clean the house, get dressed, etc, when you are holding a 10 pound baby. It has however taught me to do an incredible amount of things one handed.
Although I am still “holding” the baby when I wear the wrap it does allow me to have both hands free which makes all the difference. It keeps my daughter calm, allows me to function and also allows me to spend time with her while we are both doing what we need to do.
You can bet I am going to tell all the new moms and moms to be I know about the Moby and encourage them to consider using it, especially if they have a baby who has trouble sleeping or being left in a crib alone, etc. Go Moby!

I wish I’d had one of those when my babies were babies. They look great.
