I recently tried popchips after seeing them featured on a TV segment regarding healthier eating habits. They aren’t baked or friend but popped! I am not sure how that works exactly but it is supposed to be a healthier way to make a chip.
Since I don’t have a Wholefoods near me (waaaa!) I purchased some popchips at my local Target. They have no cholesterol or trans fats and are very low calorie. They are sort of a cross between a potato chip and a rice cake. For those who love a good old fashion bag of greasy chips the popchips will probably be too bland for you, but for the organic/health conscience crowd these chips will be a big hit.
Since the popchips aren’t greasy like regular chips they are easy to put into a baggie and eat on the go. And since they are very low in calories, they make a good guilt free snack too.
So far I have only tried the multigrain but I look forward to trying some other varieties and seeing how they stack up.
